They have screwed me over. There's only one person here that I will still see and that's my ptsd therapist he is awesome I would refer him to anyone. But I think it's Bullshit that they want to say I'm a pill abuser and that all this is in my head. The lady I see to provide me meds has cause more trauma in my life in the past month and a half. I would go somewhere else for help with meds and mental illness. But if u have ptsd the guy that is based on that is amazing wouldn't change him for anyone else.
I've suffered with mental illnesses for close to two decades, I moved to Billings from out of state and searched for a psych dr here and came across Big Sky. I saw a nurse practitioner, I went through the gament of pharmaceuticals, with no resolve and bad side effects. I understand it's difficult finding what works for everybody, but my constant frustration was when I would experience bad side effects I would call them to see what I should do and they would never call me back. I stayed there almost a year and it was a consistent problem. Also the nurse practitioner didn't seem to have much knowledge, always thumbing through a book. If you needed a refill on a med the pharmacy would fax them and Big Sky would never send back a refill. I verified Big Sky's fax# with pharmacy, it was correct they just wouldn't reply. I had to go to extreme measures once and go to ER on a weekend and be seen just for a refill on a med my body was having withdraws from just because Big Sky wouldn't refill it during the week. I went in, in person finally to get them to fill it. I had to go in, in person multiple times just to talk to somebody cause they never call back. They check your blood pressure and weight at each appointment. I just discovered through my insurance company, they don't code the submitted bill as psychiatry but medical. They are scamming insurance and billing jacked up prices. I finally had enough and switched psych drs. My new dr appt was over 30 days out from my last with Big Sky, I had 1 refill on file for my meds. When I tried to refill them the pharmacist said they were expired. Big Sky actually contacted my pharmacy to expire my refills. They are unprofessional, unethical, and don't care about their patients at all. I would give them negative stars if I could. If you want real psych care I'd definitely skip this place.
After waiting a half hour, I left after stating to everyone there how disrespected I felt. I was then dropped by the doctor's office as a patient. The front office is ruining this practice, and it's sad that the doctors either don't know or don't care.
Have to agree with another reviewer. The front desk staff is incredibly rude, unhelpful and argumentative. However the doctors are good but don't seem to care or know how the patients are being stonewalled at the front desk. I strongly suggest going someplace else since over time you will be, if just to never deal with the front end staff again.
Great doctor, but his front office is condescending and rude to paying patients. I drove 2 hours from Bozeman and was 3 minutes late for my appointment, which they then gave away.
