Delicious food, fun downtown location, rustic atmosphere, and AWESOME service. In fact, the owner went above and beyond to help us out when a toddler dropped a drivers license down a crack in the step in the restaurant. (The license was needed for a flight the next day.) The owner actually went home to get tools and took apart the step to get it for us. Can you believe it??! How incredibly nice! Even before that experience, the staff was friendly. And the lunch menu was great! I know I'll be dreaming about their creamy seafood chowder tonight. mmmmm! I can't wait to go back and try out their Reuben sandwich; there were too many yummy options on the menu.
We had been wanting to come try this place out for a while. I really loved the food. The flavors were unique and felt like it was worth the price we paid. The atmosphere was simple but nice in the old historic house. The waitress was fantastic. Definitely made it a fun date night
I have been going to Commons 1882 for over a year now. I have enjoyed lunch, dinner, and brunch there. I freely admit Commons is a staple for me, and I am probably there more than I should be. However, I dig everything about this place. I have never had a bad meal there, their fish dishes are always fantastic, I fully appreciate how much they do themselves onsite, the dish creativity is spectacular, service is always outstanding, and the bar is top-notch. Happy hour is also a very, very good thing at Commons. I would be remiss if I did not mention the atmosphere too - from casual to fancy you will feel welcome.
Been here a couple of times, service is great along with the food. I love a club sandwich, this is one off the best. Loads of turkey and ham along with house made bacon. Comes with house cut fries. Can't go wrong with this sandwich.
The staff was very friendly and courteous. I liked the quiet environment it was perfect for a family celebration. The food was less impressive we had the specials. Our steaks were tough and the vegetables (beans) were under cooked. I was unimpressed with the deserts also.ad well as the selection.
