We were happy to find a room on a weekend that most hotels were booked full. This is a cute hotel with a lot of potential. But... It could have been much cleaner. The room wasn't terribly dirty, but it hadn't had a tough cleaning in a while. The walls and bathroom needed a scrub. The hallways needed a shampooing. Breakfast included donuts, bagels, pancakes and waffles, but they were out of syrup. The coffee was terrible. Worst of all the security doors to the parking lot did not lock so anyone could enter the hallway without a key. The parking lot was a little scary at night. The price was good, though. This could be a nice little place with some maintenance and a thorough cleaning.
Has popcorn many nights. Laundry with well working machines & quarters, soap, & fabric softening sheets for sale at office. Perfect location & that is huge if you don't have a car or have walking issues or don't drive in city traffic. Outdated but comfy. No fridge or mircowave in room & breakfast is limited. TV a bit hard to figure out & slow.
The even side rooms face Billings Clinic so are quieter, but people sit and smoke on that side, so if you are sensitive to smoke stay on the odd numbered side--it faces the street and he clinic parking lot. Some complained about noise on the street side. The traffic is not loud at all but you will get the ambulance going by especially on weekends. And when the helicopter comes in you'll hear it regardless of which side you're on.
Some mentioned the TV being confusing… They do have more channels than any other hotel I've stayed at! But there's a guide button on the remote, so I'm not sure what's confusing unless you've never had cable TV before…
Stayed at this hotel for about a month with small children. We loved our stay and the entire staff we felt with... The owner and the manager are both great people!
This cute little family owned hotel has been here since before Billings Clinic even existed. Very friendly staff and conveniently located for folks who need to go to appointments and/or the hospital.
The link to their website misdirects to a place in Europe so it's hard to find accurate information on the rooms.
We have stayed at the Cherry Tree many times over the past 15 years and have never been disappointed . The staff is always nice, rooms clean, and prices very reasonable. During our current stay they have gone out of their way to help us while my husband is dealing with cancer. I cannot say enough about this place. This is the only hotel I will stay at, if I have a choice.
Overall, it's a very nice place to stay with friendly staff that'll go out of their way to help you with whatever you ask them.
Many reviews mentioned there's no fridge or microwave… there ARE rooms with fridge and microwave! There are also rooms with kitchenettes-- stove top and oven and plates and bowls and utensils etc… You just have to ASK!
This hotel is walking distance to so many things to do including plenty of things to eat, grocery store, park with splash pad, a children's museum.... And so much more we didn't get to explore ..
Some reviews say rooms weren't as clean or breakfast ran out of certain things… Again, ASK and I'm sure they'll help you with whatever you need within reasons.
And no, they don't have an airport shuttle, but they'll call a ride for you as soon as you ask.
We will definitely be staying here again if we ever find our self in the area again
