Recently, I stopped in and inquired about a vehicle for sale. I looked the vehicle over and everything looked to be in order as far as used cars are concerned. When I requested the keys for a test drive, I was asked my method of payment... A reasonable request, not harm no foul. I gave the sales person a brief rundown of what I had to trade in and was abruptly cut off.... The sales person said we are not interested in 2wd vehicles and that they DO NOT finance the type of vehicle I was interested in. Initially, I was a bit put off that he assumed that I even needed financing. Secondly was blown away that they were not willing to take my vehicle in on trade. It was very clear that they did not want my business unless it was completely under their terms. I was handed the keys mid conversation and at the end I tossed the keys back to the salesperson and departed.
Been trying to buy a vehicle from them for a week at first the owner was gone the first few days & the salesman said it was the owner's call. We were told for 2-days that he didn't have service where he was but the salesman had updates everytime we saw him. How is that possible if he has no cell phone service? Finally arranged to meet the next day when they opened, waited there until 9:10am then had to leave for work. Made arrangements while at work via phone for $2500 down & $250 payment within 3-calendar days w/another $250 on 4th calendar day. To sign during lunch which was going to make us late back at work. but when we went to Square One during our lunch the contract was for $3000 down not $2500 so we couldn't sign! My boyfriend schedules for work make things difficult & they knew that at Ernie's because we told them! Ridiculous!!!
Was looking at there cheaper car found a turas for 1495 needed new battery, pugs and wires, wont even accelerate was told it was looked over by a mechanic but found multiple things wrong with it when got home they offered 1200 cash after being told 1200 would be fine earlier in the day and when another salesman came to us they tried making payments on the other 300 wasn't willing to work with us at all
My boyfriend arranged for another meeting & we went down there again & I asked for the owner because we've been working w/"the salesman" Tom Campbell who would go initiate to shake my boyfriend's hand but never reached out to me. At first he said "he wasn't there" then after I told him I didn't want to work w/him & wanted to work the owner because we've spent who knows how much just in gas let alone patience. Which he responded "he didn't think he want to do anything with me " & I shot back "I wanted to talk to the owner not him" then he told me that the owner was there. Whenever Tom is there alone no one is there to keep an eye on him & he will say anything that first comes to mind but doesn't remember what he has told who. Because everything he has told us he told us he ended up contradicting. Tom has to be sexist & if not then he sure acts like he it, at the least he is just straight disrespectful. Not only cause of thr handshake but also because he wouldn't talk to me. I always had to initiate communication between us & his response was very short & his tone, demeanour, interest, attitude, & overall body language showed he had absolutely no interest plus wanted nothing to do with me. I know the owner wasn't there he never came out, said anything, plus there wasn't a light or anything else hinting someone was in his office. Don't do business here or at least don't do business with Tom Campbell especially if you are female.
